On the 10th of november 2011, a group of about 50 people of the Brussels Airlines staff together with Adelantex as major sponsor leave for Kigali, Rwanda. Our goal is to face the challenge of biking through one of the most hilly and breathtaking area's of the African continent to arrive 280 km further away in Bujumbura, the capital of Burundi. The entire area was the victim of extreme genocide leaving many infants behind with no medical support. Even today, worldwide, 8 million children die under the age of 5. Together with Brussels airlines, Adelantex wants to contribute to the millenium goal to bring down infant mortality by 2015. In total, we want to get 75000 euro's together for SOS Child Villages in Rwanda, Burundi and 19 other destinations Brussels Airlines is flying to. It is the wish of Adelantex as a freight forwarder working on the African continent for years together with Brussels Airlines, to contribute actively as the major sponsor of the "Biking for Africa" project. Additionally we want to increase the sponsor budget by active fund raising with all of you, working with us. We look forward to your support and help to make this an unforgettable experience and project. Donate your support on IBAN: BE 5673 1019 9642 88 / BIC: KEDBEBB and writing the message "support for Adealntex and your name/company and address". Every donation from 40 euro's up receives a tax certificate. Stop infant mortality today together with us!
We have been training over the past 3 months and recently had another physical test. Wa can tell you, Adelantex (Jozef Mergan, Kris Poels and Frank Van Gelder) is ready to take part. A small investment of our side, will hopefully make a huge difference for them. By believing in this, children will get a better chance thanks to "SOS Children Villages" together with Brussels Airlines.
